Global Support Specialist

Overview
A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a highly organized and culturally attuned professional to support its global initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, youll serve as a key contributor to the international team, working alongside senior regional leaders to strengthen relationships with global foundation partners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about cross-cultural collaboration, nonprofit growth, and international program support.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key support resource to senior regional team members focused on Sub-Saharan Africa.
Help strengthen the fundraising and operational capacity of international foundation partners.
Maintain CRM systems with up-to-date data on partner activities, revenue trends, and strategic priorities.
Support planning and execution of foundation assessments, including drafting reports and co-creating growth plans.
Assist in the coordination of coaching, mentoring, and workshop programs in partnership with internal subject matter experts.
Manage logistics for international travel, onsite events, and workshops involving internal staff and global partners.
Facilitate regular communication with assigned foundation partners, including leading or supporting monthly calls.
Contribute to internal operations of the global team and assist with special projects and documentation as needed.
Required Skills
Fluent in French or Portuguese (Required).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
Experience supporting senior leadership or regional liaisons in a nonprofit, global development, or partnership-focused environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a cross-cultural, global context.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity to dynamics within Sub-Saharan Africa.
Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year, including occasional weekends or evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
34 years of experience in a global program support, nonprofit liaison, or similar administrative/project coordination role.
Background in fundraising, marketing, operations, or public relations is a plus.
Familiarity with international nonprofit operations and donor engagement strategies.
