Director of Project Management

InterDent is a well-established and growing organization supporting 2,100 employees and 170 dental offices across 8 western states under the brands including Gentle Dental, SmileKeepers, and Capitol Dental.

InterDent Service Corporation provides comprehensive dental support and administrative services to over 165 dental practices, employing more than 400 dentists across eight states. These practices, including the Gentle Dental and Blue Oak Dental brands, offer high-quality, patient-centered dental care. Additionally, InterDent operates Capitol Dental Care (CDC), a capitated, value-based care program in Oregon. CDC partners with coordinated care organizations to deliver dental services under the Oregon Health Plan, focusing on preventive care and improving both oral and systemic health for children and low-income patients since 1994.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management to oversee our project initiatives across our multisite healthcare model. The Director of Project Management will be responsible for planning, executive, and managing projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing patient care, and driving strategic initiatives across all sites.

This is an onsite position working in either our Vancouver, WA or El Segundo, CA support offices.

Key Responsibilities


  1. Strategic Project Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive project management strategy aligned with organization goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.

  2. Project Execution and Oversight : Lead the execution of strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide guidance and support to project teams to facilitate successful project delivery.

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Foster collaboration and communication across departments and sites to ensure alignment and coordination of project activities. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage expectations.

  4. Resource Allocation and Management : Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to support project initiatives. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.

  5. Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor project progress and performance metrics to identify deviations from plan and take corrective action as necessary.

  6. Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, managers, staff, and external partners, to ensure alignment and support for project objectives. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, and outcomes.

  7. Continuous Improvement : Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management function. Identify opportunity for process optimization, automation, and best practice sharing to enhance project delivery capabilities.

Qualifications


  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on healthcare, retail, or multisite operations

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands effectively

  • Sound judgement and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
