Director, Nature Markets and NbS Development - 26016 Join to apply for the Director, Nature Markets and NbS Development - 26016 role at World Wildlife Fund Overview World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Director of Nature Markets and NbS Development. The Director will report to the Managing Director, Public Finance and Nature Markets, and will bring expertise in NbS project development or investment, working with a team responsible for landscape finance and financial structuring. Salary Range: $124,000 - $178,300 Please note: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. This position does not offer visa sponsorship. All hires will verify identity and work eligibility upon employment. Responsibilities Collaborate with teams, country offices, landscape leads, and technical partners to: Identify and evaluate NbS interventions for market feasibility across landscapes. Lead design and development of bankable NbS projects. Engage with market participants to identify opportunities and promote WWF NbS initiatives. Develop proposals for offtakers and investors. Manage an emerging NbS portfolio. Formulate and implement strategies across geographies and stakeholders to achieve environmental, financial, and social outcomes. Work with NFI leadership and partners to: Enhance WWF’s engagement with NbS buyers and investors. Refine strategies for mobilizing finance through carbon and nature markets. Explore opportunities for landscape-level finance and NbS funds. Prepare project and investment documentation, including pitch decks and financial models. Represent NFI in meetings related to carbon markets and finance. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Competencies Innovative problem solving and strategic leadership. Effective communication and collaboration. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including NbS transactional work. Graduate degree in economics, business, or finance preferred; equivalent experience valued. Experience with NbS projects and transaction structures in developing countries. Deep knowledge of carbon markets and related transaction processes. Strong financial analysis skills. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel 15-25% to developing countries.
