Job Description

This position is responsible for conceptualizing, creating and distributing compelling content to drive engagement, traffic, conversation and attention around PGA TOUR websites, apps, voice-activated devices, newsletters and other emerging platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Three years experience in developing content for use on websites and social media platforms.
  2. Prior experience updating and maintaining brand, league, team or other corporate platforms.
  3. Knowledge of digital media including content creation, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms.
  4. Proficiency in HTML and Photoshop.
  5. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
  6. Strong writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling.
  7. Knowledge and proficiency of AP Stylebook.
  8. Commitment to high-quality work product that meets brand and fan standards.
  9. Design, photo and video editing skills a plus.
  10. Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft programs.
  11. Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  1. Develop, edit and program content for use on PGA TOUR websites, apps, newsletters and other emerging platforms.
  2. Respond to breaking news promptly, ensuring all platforms are up to date on trending conversations.
  3. Develop weekly newsletters from conceptualization to completion.
  4. Curate news and video pages within the app with the most relevant content.
  5. Ensure headlines, URLs and titles are optimized for SEO.
  6. Proactively collaborate with writers and other content creators to deliver engaging and immersive content across platforms.
  7. Maintain websites and arenas, including checking of links and updating content.
  8. Adhere to brand standards and established voice across platforms.
  9. Participate in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions.
  10. Utilize available data to make or adjust programming decisions across platforms.
  11. Execute content on behalf of marketing and/or sales initiatives.
  12. Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame.
  13. Special projects or other duties as assigned.
