We’re seeking a curious, detail-oriented individual eager to learn who can join our team asana Associate User Researcher. In this role, you’ll help us better understand our users and support the research process from start to finish. You’ll work closely with senior researchers, learning as you go, and making an impact along the way.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Helping with participant recruitment, scheduling, and preparing research materials
• Sitting in on interviews, usability tests, or workshops and capturing key notes and observations
• Organizing research data so our team can make sense of it and use it in the future
• Supporting our research repository with tagging and organization for future AI insights
• Assisting in updating research documentation, journey maps, and personas
• Pitching in on usability tests, surveys, and other quick-turnaround research activities
• Making sure everything we do follows privacy, accessibility, and ethical standards

What We’re Looking For

• 0–2 years of experience in UX research, research operations, or a related area (internships and school projects count too!)
• A basic understanding of research methods like interviews, surveys, and usability testing
• Someone with strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
• Comfortable taking notes, capturing insights, and handling large sets of information
• A collaborative teammate who can work easily with research, design, and product groups
• Familiarity with tools like Google Meet, Miro, and Excel/Google Sheets; exposure to platforms like UserTesting or Dovetail is a bonus
• A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Most importantly—someone eager to grow in the world of user research

Education

High school diploma or GED

Additional Info

• Shift hours: 9AM – 5PM Eastern
• Be ready to share examples (from school, internships, or work) that show how you’ve supported research activities and collaborated with a team
